Objectives
The course is designed to help you step-by-step through the process of creating a research paper.
You will learn how to:
• prepare your paper
• decide what you want to focus on
• structure your ideas
• highlight the novelty of your research
• arouse your reader’s curiosity
• write clearly and concisely, even if English is not your mother tongue
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course, you have started to write your paper. You have built your outilne, your
chapters are structured and you have a clear thesis statement. You have elaborated your own writing
strategy and know how to emphasise the originality of your research.
You know how to organize your time in order to curb procrastination and to use efficiently the time
available for writing your thesis.
Methodology
This course is project-based. You work step by step on your own publication project. Specific
exercises will support the process of organising your work and getting your thoughts down on paper;
revision techniques will help you to improve the quality of your writing. Peer review - a crucial part
of the writing process - will help to strength the writing of both reviewers and writers.
Requirements
• You need a concrete project to work on
• You have enough results to sart to write your paper
• You have a good level in oral and writing (minimal level : TOEIC® Listening and Reading)
